Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign are proving that the rumors are true: they’re taking their ‘Vultures Listening Experience’ show to Korea.

Last month, following West’s appearance at an event in Tokyo, reports popped up speculating that the controversial rapper and producer would soon be doing a show in nearby South Korea.

Now that’s been confirmed, as Ty shared on Saturday (July 6) that the ‘Vultures’ event will be coming to Korea on August 23. No venue was named in the announcement.

The ‘Vultures Listening Experience,’ where the two artists play music from their Vultures collaborative album in front of an audience, has had a rocky road.

In March, the duo announced shows in Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Washington DC, North Carolina and Florida.

But on March 30, all those listings were removed from Ye’s Ticketmaster page, with some of the venues he was set to appear at announcing that they will no longer be hosting the event.

Whereas the PPG Paints Arena (Pittsburgh), Capital One Arena (Washington, DC), Spectrum Center (Charlotte) and Bridgestone Arena (Nashville) removed the event from their websites, the Amalie Arena in Tampa and Amerant Bank Arena in Fort Lauderdale shared messages about the cancellation.

“We regret to report that due to the time constraints for Ye and Ty Dolla $ign to curate production and meet logistic requirements, the upcoming dates for the VULTURES 1&2 listening experience will need to be revisited at a later date,” both venues posted.

The Charlotte website Clture reported that a Spectrum Center representative told them the Charlotte show was “officially” no longer happening.

Meanwhile, the pair has consistently missed release dates for their planned Vultures 2 album.

Kanye said during an interview with Justin Laboy that his second collaborative project with Ty would be released on May 3, but the album has not yet hit streaming services.

More recently, in an interview with Billboard that ran on June 20, Ty promised that the duo’s sequel is on the horizon.

“We got all the songs. Basically, it’s just like, ‘How can we get it there? How can we go bigger than the first album?,’” he explained

He added: “Certain people will probably expect you to just do the same exact sound. But that sound’s already out.”

Earlier that month, Ty gave his an update on the status of the much-delayed project and teased further albums with Ye.

Appearing on a Kick stream with Russian YouTuber Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, he said: “It’s dropping ASAP. Vultures 2 is on the way. It’s coming soon. Any day now. It could be tomorrow.”

When asked by a fan on the stream whether Vultures 2 would be available on streaming platforms or just Kanye’s YZY app, Ty replied: “On the app.”
