Travis Kelce Has the Most Supportive Response When Asked If Taylor Swift Is Getting Musical Inspiration From Him

Travis Kelce had a sweet and supportive response when asked about Taylor Swift’s writing process.

Kelce, 35, made an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Monday, Jan. 13 ahead of the Chiefs’ first playoff game against the Houston Texans on Jan, 18, where the tight end was asked what it’s like to be around Swift when the 35-year-old pop icon is finding musical inspiration.

“Let’s just say you’re hanging and out and having a little dinner and all of the sudden the creative juice sparks,” host Pat McAfee hypothesized, “and the absolute beast that you’re sitting with who is going to go down as maybe the most famous icon in the history of music…are you a motivator every single time?”

Kelce quickly said, “Oh, yeah. You know it.”

The Chiefs star admitted that he’ll “never chime in” during Swift’s creative process, “but I’m here to support it,” he said. “I’m here to see where it can go.”

One fan reacted to the moment in a post on X, complimenting Kelce for being “so supportive yet so respectful of her privacy,” as she continues writing new music.

Another fan said the interview made her all the more excited to hear what Swift has been writing about Kelce since she started dating the athlete in September 2023.

“Oh to hear what she has written this past year with him as her inspiration,” the comment said. “I’m so ready for it!”

Kelce’s appearance on McAfee’s show on Monday delighted Swifties beyond his show of support for the “So High School” singer. The tight end also confirmed that Swift would be in attendance at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday, Jan. 18 for the Chiefs’ first playoff game, and also seemingly teased that she’s working on new music.

“Is there going to be an aura in that place, a little bit extra? You know what we’re talking about,” McAfee asked the three-time Super Bowl champ, without naming Swift.

“Oh yeah, you know it, baby,” Kelce responded. “It’s playoff football, man.”

And after McAfee predicted Swift was working on an album about a “good” guy — suggesting it would be about Kelce — Swift’s boyfriend said, “There might be a few.”

“You know I can’t say, you know I can’t say…any of that,” Kelce said. “I hear music everywhere.”
