Abigail Anderson Berard, Taylor Swift’s best friend, is pregnant!
The expectant mother revealed the news in an Instagram post on Wednesday, which included a sweet nod to her longtime bestie.
“I’m having his babyyyy… 💙,” Anderson Berard wrote, quoting lyrics from Swift’s The Tortured Poet’s Department track “But Daddy I Love Him.”
The post included a photo of Anderson Berard eating Cheez-Its while showing off her growing baby bump.
Anderson Berard married Charles “Charlie” Berard, a chief technology officer at Celero Commerce, in September 2022. She was previously married to photographer Matt Lucier from 2017 to 2021.
The soon-to-be mom has been a longtime member of the Swiftie universe since before the pop star became famous, as their friendship dates back to their first day of high school.
“I have a lot of friends who do what I do. Either they’re actresses or singers or things like that. But my best friend, Abigail, we met when I was 15. First day of school freshman year we sat next to each other in English,” said Swift during an interview on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
Anderson Berard served as an inspiration for Swift’s coming-of-age track “Fifteen” from her 2008 album Fearless.
“You sit in class next to a red-head named Abigail / And soon enough you’re best friends / Laughing at the other girls / Who think they’re so cool / We’ll be out of here as soon as we can,” sings Swift in one part of the song.
“Back then I swore I was gonna marry him someday / But I realized some bigger dreams of mine / And Abigail gave everything she had / To a boy who changed his mind / And we both cried,” she sings in another.
Throughout the years, Anderson Berard has shared photos with Swift celebrating the holidays, at parties, and at the Grammys. In May 2023, she supported Swift at an Eras Tour stop in Nashville.
