Taylor Swift is ready for the 2024 Paris Olympics!
The pop songstress, 34, shared her excitement at seeing Team USA compete in the Olympics as her song “…Ready for It?” was unveiled in NBC’s promotional video for the games on Saturday, July 27.
“So ready to scream at my TV cheering for these athletes 🏅,” Swift wrote, resharing the clip on her Instagram Stories and on Facebook.
NBC Olympics wrote on X (formerly Twitter) alongside the promo vid: “Baby Let The Games Begin. #WeAreReadyForIt,” tagging the singer. “Primetime in Paris: 8/7c on NBC and Peacock #ParisOlympics.”
The video began with a close-up shot of the Eiffel Tower in Paris lit up at night with, “…READY FOR IT? Live from Taylor Swift – The Eras Tour,” in block white letters to the side — referring to Swift’s live tour version of her 2017 song used in the clip — as a cheering crowd was heard.
Next appeared shots of the Olympic rings and a light display followed by clips of athletes from Team USA talking about how much competing in the Olympics means to them, including LeBron James.
Halfway through the clip, as the Olympic cauldron was seen flying upwards at the end of the opening ceremony in Paris, Swift said the lyric, “Are you ready for it?” Her song continued to play over montage shots of Team USA members competing in their sports.
“Baby let the games begin!” Swift sang. “… In the middle of the night/ In my dreams… Baby let the games begin!”
Near the end of the clip, a smiling Simone Biles appeared in a close-up shot in front of a white background. “Are you guys ready for it?” She said, quoting a lyric from Swift’s song as the singer repeated, “Are you ready for it?”
Crowds were heard cheering once again from the live tour version of the song as the advert ended with another shot of the Eiffel Tower at night.
Swift’s reaction to Team USA and the new Olympics promo video comes after she performed the first of two shows in Munich for the Eras Tour on Saturday, July 27.
Her attachment to promoting the team at the games comes a day after fellow superstar Beyoncé introduced Team USA in another promotional video for the 2024 Olympics as she incorporated her song “YA YA” from her latest album Cowboy Carter, released in March.
