Simone Biles seems open to another opportunity at an Olympic Games.
The record-breaking gymnast won the gold medal in the individual vault final in Paris on Aug. 3, her third of the 2024 Summer Games and seventh total career Olympic gold.
During a press conference at Bercy Arena after the event, Biles was asked, “Is this the last time we’re going to see you vaulting in competition?”
“This is my last, definitely Yurchenko double pike [vault]. I mean I kind of nailed that one. So never say never,” said Biles, 27, in response. “The home Games — the next Olympics is at home, so you just never know. But I am getting really old.”

The 2028 Olympics will be held in Los Angeles, marking the first time a Summer Games has been in the U.S. since Atlanta in 1996.
If Biles were to compete in the 2028 Games, she would be the only American gymnast to ever qualify for four Olympics. She would be 31 years old — significant, as she was already the oldest female gymnast to win all-around gold these Games in Paris. In fact, she was the oldest female gymnast to qualify for Team USA since the 1950s when she earned her spot for 2024.
Biles still has so much love for her sport, especially after earning the team and all-around gold in Paris.
She told reporters during the press conference that she loves to “flip” because “not many people in the world can do it to this level, so it’s just kind of like once we’re out here, the floor is our stage, so it just feels so freeing for us because we’re in our element, we’re having fun, we’re doing what we love to do.”

“I think that’s why I enjoy it so much,” said Biles. “But yeah, at a certain point as we get older it does get a little bit more scary and we’re more aware of what we’re doing … but always fun.”
