Selena Gomez Shows Off Long Hair Transformation and Sultry Smoky Eyes — See the Glam Look!
The star first debuted her long hair makeover during a June appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’
Selena Gomez is in her long hair era.
On Thursday, July 18, the 31-year-old Rare Beauty founder got all gussied up to attend her brand’s latest launch, the True to Myself Pressed Finishing Powder, in Los Angeles.
Gomez went full glam for the occasion, her newly long hair styled into voluminous beachy waves courtesy of celebrity hairstylist Marissa Marino. The star’s longtime makeup artist, Hung Vanngo, created an equally sexy makeup look consisting of a sultry smoky eye, soft pink blush and a glossy pink lip.
Her go-to nail artist, Tom Bachik, opted for a classic nude nail. On Instagram, Bachik shared that he used gel-X extensions by Aprés Nail, which he filed into an oval shape. He then applied one coat of the brand’s Gel Couleur in the shade Forgotten Film.
The Only Murders in the Building star, who was styled by Erin Walsh, wore a khaki dress by Carolina Herrera and glittering jewels by Effy Jewelry.
Gomez shared Vanngo’s post to her Instagram Stories and also posted what appears to be a BTS photo. In the image, the star sits in a chair in a white bathrobe, her long, dark hair pulled back into a sleek ponytail. She’s also rocking a similarly smoky makeup look.
The Disney Channel alum debuted her hair transformation during her June 26 Jimmy Kimmel Live appearance. The style was created by hair pros Nikki and Riawna at their 901 salon using Great Lengths extensions. In conversation with her Only Murders in the Building costar Martin Short (who was serving as guest host), Gomez showed off her new long hair, which was parted to the side and styled into a sleek blowout.
She wore a chic black Versace dress and accessorized with black pumps and over $30,000 worth of gems from Simon G Jewelry. Gomez’s makeup look featured winged eyeliner, glittery eye shadow and a rosy lip color.
The star had previously been a rocking medium-length style for a while. In June, she attended the Cannes Film Festival, where she wore both retro waves and a sleek ponytail.
This week, Gomez received her first Emmy acting nomination for her role as Mabel Mora in Only Murders in the Building. Shortly after it was announced that she was nominated for outstanding actress in a comedy series on Wednesday, July 17, the star reposted an article announcing the news.
“🥲,” she wrote simply over the repost on Instagram Stories.
She later posted another story of herself and a cake with icing that said: “congratulations Emmy nominee!”
“I’m honored and insanely grateful for this,” she captioned it. “Thank you @onlymurdershulu for giving me Mabel.”
