In a cover story interview for ‘The Hollywood Reporter,’ the actress/singer opened up about keeping aspects of her relationship with Blanco private
Selena Gomez sees a “future” with Benny Blanco.
In a cover story interview with The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday, Nov. 20, the actress/musician, 32, opened up about her relationship with the producer who was recently featured in PEOPLE’s 2024 Sexiest Man Alive issue.
While discussing recent photos of her with Blanco, 36, snapped while they were on a date at Sushi Park in Los Angeles, Gomez told the publication how comfortable she is with him.
“This is the safest I’ve ever felt in one, and I see a future with this person,” the Only Murders in the Building star said of her relationship.

Gomez then discussed the experience of coordinating with the paparazzi to help provide balance in her private life.
“When you put a little bit out there, people are not as hungry to hunt you down,” she said. “Like, if they hear something, they’re going to, but if you’re like, ‘I did it,’ they’re like, ‘Oh, well there’s you, just going to Sushi Park.'”
Gomez added: “But there’s so much of my relationship people don’t see, that’s just mine.”
The “Fetish” musician was initially linked to the producer in December 2023, confirming the pair were dating when she liked fan account posts on Instagram of the two, even commenting, “He is my absolute everything in my heart,” on one.

Since then, Gomez has shared photos of Blanco on her Instagram on numerous occasions and even took him as her date to the 2024 Golden Globes in January. After the event, she shared a photo of the duo kissing on her Instagram Story, writing, “I won.”
In an interview with PEOPLE in November, Blanco revealed that the pair were dating since July 2023.
“I’m so happy. I met my best friend. I have a best friend that I also get to kiss. I have a true best friend that I get to do everything in the world with, and every day is the best day of my life,” he said. “I sound like a loser, but it’s amazing!”
