Rihanna has slid into GloRilla‘s Instagram DMs to ask her a question she admits is “hypocritical.”
Fans have been waiting for RiRi to release a follow-up to ANTI for almost a decade, but that hasn’t stopped the Bajan superstar from asking for an album update from one of her favorite artists.
She privately messaged GloRilla saying: “You got all summer sis! I know dis wild hypocritical but when the album drop?”
The Memphis native shared the message in a recap of her visit to the 2024 BET Awards but did show her response to the “Umbrella” singer.

Rihanna’s question had many fans in stitches, with one joking: “Ri asking for an album is diabolical asf.”
Another said: “Rihanna play to much! Tell her to jump on the album!!!”
Rih recently proved that she’s a fan of GloRilla when she filmed herself dancing to the rapper’s hit single “TGIF.”
In the video, she lip-synced and got down to the catchy hook, “It’s 7 p.m. Friday/ It’s 95 degrees/ I ain’t got no n-gga and no n-gga ain’t got me” as the camera panned to her boyfriend A$AP Rocky.
Confused and amused by his partner’s energy, the Harlem rapper hilariously responded by saying: “Where my drink at, man? I’m too old for this shit.”
GloRilla has previously claimed that she and Rihanna look alike and also shared a voicemail from her grandmother backing up the statement.
“How come you didn’t tell me Rihanna and Gloria look so much alike?” her grandmother began, using her granddaughter’s real name.
She continued: “I can’t tell them girls apart on TV. That girl look just like your daughter.”
While Big Glo can count herself as one of Rihanna’s biggest fans, the same can’t be said for Azealia Banks.
The divisive rapper recently mocked the singer’s relationship with A$AP Rocky, writing on social media: “Look at who she’s with now. A n-gga that wears back-out shirts. He’s on camera shooting one of his best friends … on camera kicking a female fan in the face. Really?”
She then accused Pretty Flacko of being gay based on his fashion choices: “Rocky’s definitely a butch queen. I don’t know how nobody told Rihanna that. Maybe she likes it, maybe she’s into that stuff. But Rocky’s definitely not a straight man.”
Banks also defended Chris Brown over his infamous 2009 assault of Rihanna and called the backlash to the violent incident “self-righteous bullshit.”
