The Duchess of Sussex tells PEOPLE exclusively about her evenings with her husband
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have a sweet evening ritual.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, opens up to PEOPLE in an exclusive new interview, sharing glimpses at her family life, from “day dates” with her 5-year-old son, Prince Archie, to the adorable kitchen habits of her 3-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet.
The couple also make time for each other, sharing a quiet lunch together when they can in a tradition they call “day dates.” Meanwhile, evenings are marked by “nightcap recaps,” where the pair unwind with a drink and debrief about their day while prepping lunch boxes for the kids.
“I think all parents in this phase with kids the same age know it’s rinse and repeat,” Meghan explains of their routine.
After that, the couple might catch up on some television: “We love Shrinking; we just finished Black Doves, and we’re excited for the new season of The White Lotus,” she shares.

It’s a life that’s miles away, literally and figuratively, from where Meghan was when she first started dating Harry in 2016. Yet she shares with PEOPLE that returning to her entrepreneurial roots has also reignited something between the couple.
“My husband met me when I had The Tig, and I see this spark in his eye when he sees me doing the thing that I was doing when he first met me,” she says.
“It’s almost like a honeymoon period again,” she adds, “because it’s exactly how it was in the beginning when he’d watch me scribbling away, writing newsletters, fine-tuning edits and just really being in the details of it. I think he loves watching as much as I love doing that creative process. It’s just been fun. This is who I’ve always been.”

“I imagine that it’s the same as it would be for any couple,” she notes. “You have your individual jobs, but then you have things that you share together.”
