Megan Thee Stallion Releases a New Tequila for Her ‘Hotties’

Megan Thee Stallion is choosing tequila as her birthday drink!

The Grammy winner celebrated her milestone 30th birthday on Saturday, Feb. 15 by unveiling her new tequila brand, Chicas Divertidas, which comes in two distinct flavors.

“As someone who values good vibes and great memories, I knew I wanted to create a tequila that was designed to be shared and savored with my Hotties,” Megan said in a statement shared with PEOPLE. “Smooth, sultry, and premium. This process has been years in the making, and I’m so proud to take this next step in my journey as an entrepreneur and launch this brand.”

The “Hot Girl Summer” singer continued, “I know the Hotties are ready, it’s time to give them a drink made by me! I’m excited to share this labor of love with you all and hope you are inspired to enter your CHICAS ERA!”

According to a press release, the tequila is made from single-source, 100% Blue Weber agave harvested from the volcanic highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. The alcoholic beverage is produced at the distillery Casa Centinela.

Megan’s brand includes two premium tequila offerings, Blanco and Reposado. The first is described as “the ultimate pass-and-pour spirit” with notes of citrus, rosemary and green tea. Reposado, meanwhile, offers a more elegant taste with “caramelized agave, American oak and cooking spices.”

The vibrant bottle design – perfect to represent Megan’s spirited personality – is inspired by a large flower called Angel’s Trumpet and the core agave ingredient. Each 750ml bottle features a gradient of bright colors, including orange, pink, red and purple, with grooves along the body to resemble the agave plant. Topping the bottles is a broken heart with a dagger through the top.

The two beverages are available for pre-order at ChicasDivertidasTequila.com and ReserveBar.com. They will also be sold in limited amounts at select retailers in the United States.

This isn’t the first time Megan has brought her signature flair to the food industry. In 2021 and 2022, respectively, she promoted products with Popeyes and Goldbelly. Her collaboration with the popular fast food establishment was for a limited edition “hottie” sauce, described as a sweet and bold sauce with a hint of spice, inspired by the rapper’s sassy personality.

For Goldbelly, she created Megan’s H-Town Hottie Pie, inspired by her hometown of Houston, in honor of her single, “Sweetie Pie.” The sweet treat was described as “a deliciously decadent, sweet n’ salty twist on a pecan pie,” with a mix of pretzels, coconut, pecans, and butterscotch chips mixed together in a gooey, buttery bite.
