The £27 million ($34m) deal that took Old Trafford academy graduate Greenwood to Marseille in the summer of 2024 includes a 50 per cent sell-on clause. United reportedly have the option to increase that stake in future windows.

They may not get that opportunity, with GIVEMESPORT reporting that La Liga giants Barca are rekindling their interest in Greenwood. They saw him star in Spanish football last season during a productive loan spell at Getafe.

Barcelona are said to be “planning to look closely at Greenwood’s situation in the summer”, with the 23-year-old forward hitting 14 Ligue 1 goals for Marseille this season. Paris Saint-Germain are also being heavily linked with the one-cap England international.
