Lucy Liu Channels Taylor Swift’s Game-Day Style in Festive Versace Plaid Skirt Suit for Red One Press
Everyone is mad for preppy plaid this season
Lucy Liu has turned the Red One press tour into a fashion show with all the glam looks she’s been pulling off lately.
The actress — who plays Zoe in the Christmas-themed action film, also starring Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans — has, with the helping hand of her stylist, Sarah Slutsky Tooley, embodied many styles from golden goddess to daring vixen during the project’s promotion.
For one of her days in New York City, the Charlie’s Angels alum, 55, wore an appropriately festive Versace ensemble that seemed to lean into a particular game-day look recently worn by Taylor Swift.
In a photo shared to Slutsky Tooley’s Instagram, Liu wore a navy and red plaid tweed blazer and matching miniskirt (currently retailing for $1,186 on Mytheresa’s website). She left her jacket unbuttoned to show off her sexy top, which matched her purse and Stuart Weitzman platform heels.

It was similar in design to the Clueless-coded Versace suit the pop star, 34, wore to the Chiefs-Broncos game on Nov. 10. She also paired her look with a sleeveless top, but hers was a $35 find from Victoria’s Secret.
After her Versace look, Liu wore another plaid look, an Alessandra Rich top and skirt, for her appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Liu has always been a fashion icon and she recently took on a new gig as one of Stewart Weitzman’s brand ambassadors alongside Aly Raisman, Christy Turlington, Issa Rae and model Ming Xi. The group of powerhouses starred in a “How Lovely to Be a Woman” campaign film for the partnership.
“A celebration of modern womanhood, the campaign intends to capture the pleasures and pressures of simply being a woman in the world today,” the brand shared in a press release. “When faced with challenges and expectations, it is inspiring how women can time and time again choose to step into their confidence and stand strong.”
