All is well in the music world because Lady Gaga is back in the studio.

The superstar, 38, teased her next era in an Instagram post on Thursday, July 18, posting photos of herself chilling in front of a studio microphone with black shades on. “Just me in the studio—happy as ever making music 🖤🕶️💋🎶 ,” she captioned it. “Feel so grateful, heart is peaceful. It’s like meditation.”

The singer also gave fans something else to get excited about, as she added, “I can’t wait for you to hear what I’m working on.”

A source tells PEOPLE that Gaga has “never been happier” about the music she’s been recording lately, adding, “She’s feeling the most creative she’s ever been.”

Fans and Gaga’s peers are equally pleased to see her working in the studio again, as fellow pop star Kesha commented under her Instagram post, “Feed us mother!!!!”

It’s been nearly three years since Gaga unleashed a new studio album, her last being 2021’s Love for Sale with the late Tony Bennett. She previously dropped a solo single, “Hold My Hand,” for the soundtrack of 2022 sequel film Top Gun: Maverick — which she gave a stripped-down performance of at last year’s Academy Awards. Her last single release was a 2023 collaboration with The Rolling Stones titled “Sweet Sounds of Heaven.”

Back in May, the “Bad Romance” singer shared details about her plans to release new music during a Q&A at the Los Angeles premiere of her HBO concert special, Gaga Chromatica Ball — which follows the tour named after her 2020 album Chromatica. She initially teased her next studio album, dubbed LG7, during the final moment of her concert film.

“I am in the studio every single day. I have written so many songs, I’ve been producing so many songs, and it’s nothing like anything that I’ve ever made before,” said Gaga, adding, “I love to break genre, and I love to explore music.”

The 13-time Grammy winner’s latest music update arrives just a few weeks after she wrapped up her years-long Jazz & Piano residency in Las Vegas. It concluded on July 6 after 48 whopping shows. During her second-to-last concert, she got emotional as she dedicated the performance to her boyfriend of over four years, Michael Polansky.

According to Billboard, Gaga told the crowd that she and her band will “do it again” and return to Vegas in the future with a “brand-new show.”

Up next, she’ll star in the highly anticipated Joker: Folie à Deux film as Harley Quinn opposite Joaquin Phoenix’s titular character. The movie hits theaters on Oct. 4.
