Gaga and Bruno Mars won the best pop duo/group performance award for their duet “Die with a Smile” at the 2025 Grammys on Feb. 2
Lady Gaga is feeling sentimental.
After winning best pop duo/group performance with Bruno Mars for their hit duet “Die with a Smile” at the 2025 Grammy Awards over the weekend, the pop superstar, 38, took to social media on Feb. 4 to show appreciation to her fans.
“My 14th Grammy award is a very special one,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself posing with the gramophone trophy.
“Being a songwriter, all I want to do is tell stories that touch peoples hearts,” said Gaga. “Telling this story with Bruno about love is truly a piece of my soul—love is what we all need right now.”
“Thank you little monsters—wherever you go that’s where I’ll follow,” she added, referencing a lyric from “Die with a Smile,” which hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year.
Gaga and Mars, 40, accepted the award together during the ceremony at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and gave a heartfelt speech about the collaboration.
“I’m so honored to be a part of this song with you. I’m so honored to have a small part in your giant musical legacy, and I really, truly believe that God gave us the song to sing together,” he said. “So thank you so much.”
The “Disease” singer then complimented Mars. “Bruno, you are an incredible human being. You’re a musician for the ages. I don’t know music without Bruno,” she said.
Gaga also thanked her fiancé Michael Polansky: “Michael, I love you so much, all your support and love every single day.”

She spoke about the “privilege” of working as a songwriter, producer and musician before turning her focus to the LGBTQ+ community, earning a standing ovation.
“I just want to say tonight that trans people are not invisible. Trans people deserve love,” said Gaga. “The queer community deserves to be lifted up. Music is love. Thank you.”
Earlier in the awards show, she and Mars performed a cover of “California Dreamin'” in tribute to those impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires.
Gaga also premiered the music video for “Abracadabra,” the third single off her upcoming Mayhem album, during the ceremony.
