Katy Perry is owning the night like the Fourth of July.

The Teenage Dream hitmaker shared a patriotic photo on Instagram, paying tribute to her 2010 song “Firework.” In the photo, Perry, 39, poses in a bedazzled, star-shaped swimsuit emblazoned with stars and stripes.

The silver straps matched her earrings, and she wore red lipstick to match her red polka-dot bandana.

Perry channeled Rosie the Riveter, posing with one hand on her hip, and flexing her muscles with the other.

“BB UR A FIREWORK 🎆,” she began her caption, adding, “and speaking of work, WOMAN’S WORLD IS GOING TO WORK IN ONE WEEK HAPPY 4TH 🇺🇸”

Perry previously announced her new single “Woman’s World” on Wednesday, June 19, which is the first time she’s released music since 2020’s Smile. The new song is set for release on Thursday, July 11, with the music video premiering the following day.

The “California Gurls” singer gave fans a sneak peek of the new song on Instagram, lip-synching:  “Sexy, confident / So intelligent / She is heaven sent / So soft, so strong.”

Following the song’s release in 2010, Perry opened up to Billboard about the inspiration behind the lyrics. “It’s a song where I think my purpose to some people might change when they hear it,” she said at the time.

Perry told the publication the idea that sparked the song came from a Jack Kerouac novel, and it’s based on how she would want to be remembered: “Basically I have this very morbid idea . . . when I pass, I want to be put into a firework and shot across the sky over the Santa Barbara Ocean as my last hurrah.”

She continued, “I want to be a firework, both living and dead. My boyfriend showed me a paragraph out of Jack Kerouac’s book ‘On the Road,’ about people that are buzzing and fizzing and full of life and never say a commonplace thing.”

“They shoot across the sky like a firework and make people go, ‘Ahhh.’ I guess that making people go ‘ahhh’ is kind of like my motto,” Perry concluded.

The smash hit has become a major hallmark of pop culture. Perry famously sang “Firework” for the 2021 presidential inauguration of Joe Biden.

In 2022, the pop star joked that people have been getting the words wrong to the 2010 hit song.

“It’s awe, awe, awe, everybody. Get it right! It’s not ‘Fireworks’ it’s ‘Firework,’ ” she said when Luke Bryan sang the words wrong during an episode of American Idol.

She also cheekily called out the moment on Instagram. “FOR THE OFFICIAL RECORD ☝🏻. it is AWE not UP. it is FIREWORK not FIREWORKSSS. Swipe ➡️ for proof 🎆🎇,” she wrote.
