Kanye West has revealed his favorite song he’s ever released, and the answer has surprised plenty of his devoted fans.

A clip emerged on social media on Tuesday (September 17) in which his son, Saint West, asks him: “What’s your favorite song ever?”

Yeezy eventually replies: “Fried,” before apologizing to his young son for seemingly dozing off during their conversation: “Sorry, I was closing my eyes.”

“Fried” appears on Ye’s most recent album, Vultures 2 with Ty Dolla $ign, and finds the Chicago rap legend both warning his enemies and indulging in sexual fantasies.

“10 bitches came with Dolla, they all dimes / They offerin’ blowjobs and I applied / They all starvin’, order them some fries / Then I lick the breast, then the thighs,” he raps over a raucous beat that resembles the Vultures 1 hit “Carnival.”

Kanye’s pick caught plenty of fans off guard, especially considering his extensive catalog of hits.

“My goat doesn’t know his own discography [crying face emojis],” one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter), while another said: “son couldn’t believe his father chose the worst fucking song ever [skull emoji].”

A third joked: “i think bro might’ve been Fried, giving that answer.”

Saint West has been busy outside of his budding YouTube career. This past weekend, the eight-year-old joined his rap star father on stage in China along with his three siblings, North, Chicago and Psalm.

Kanye West was accompanied by his four children as he performed the still-unreleased “Everybody,” which prominently samples the Backstreet Boys.

Elsewhere during the show, which was billed as a Vultures listening experience, Kanye threw his fans for another loop by debuting a remix of Vanessa Carlton’s 2002 pop hit “A Thousand Miles.”

In a snippet of the song captured during the concert, Ty Dolla $ign can be heard singing Carlton’s lyrics over a beat that closely resembles the original.

While Ye’s vocals aren’t heard in the video, the track also features feral noises that were lifted from Skinbone’s viral parody remix of “A Thousand Miles” from 2018.

The concert was held at Haikou’s Wuyuanhe Stadium and sold over 42,000 tickets in a matter of minutes, making Ye and Ty one of the few Western artists to perform in the notoriously strict country.
