HAMPTONS – JAY-Z has cemented his spot as Hip Hop’s premiere watch collector by pilling out an ultra rare Rolex valued at over over $4 million at a star-studded party in the Hamptons.
The Roc Nation mogul was one of many high-profile guests at billionaire Michael Rubin’s annual Fourth of July White Party last week, which was also attended by the likes of Beyoncé, Drake, Tom Brady, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kim Kardashian.

While some of the biggest stars on the planet partied the night away, only Jay was wearing a 6270 Rolex Daytona, which is engraved with the emblem of Oman.

Only eight of the watches were ever made, each for the Sultan of Oman in 1988.

The watch has a 18 karat yellow gold case, a dial set with pavé diamonds, sapphire numerals and a bezel adorned with baguette diamonds.

One of the watches was last sold at auction in 2023 for $4.2 million.

JAY-Z is a known watch enthusiast and recently bought a stake in online luxury watch marketplace Wristcheck.

Co-founder Austen Chu said of Hov’s investment in a statement: “As an entrepreneur, JAY-Z has always been an inspiration to me. I remember growing up to his music — his lyrics not only introduced me to watch brands like Audemars Piguet, but also fueled my love for watches even further, as he bridged the gap between watches and pop culture.”

He added: “As the most influential celebrity watch collector of the 21st century and a certified G.O.A.T., his support carries immense weight both personally and professionally. It’s a testament to the trust and community we’ve built, and marks a major milestone in cementing Wristcheck as the go-to platform for watch enthusiasts worldwide.”

Hov has built a reputation for his venerable watch collection, which in addition to Rolexes includes pieces from the likes of Richard Mille, Audemars Piguet and Hublot.

In 2021, the Brooklyn-bred brillionaire made headlines when he spent $6 million on a rare collaboration between Tiffany and Patek Philippe.

Jigga was seen wearing the timepiece at the premiere of the Idris Elba movie The Harder They Fall, days after it sold at auction for $6.5 million.

The 54-year-old previously wore a Patek Philippe worth $2.2 million at one of Diddy’s birthday parties, while on another occasion he flexed an even pricier Richard Mille that took 3,000 man-hours to make.
