Hugh Jackman is supporting Sutton Foster on tour.
Jackman, 56, was spotted attending Foster’s play Once Upon a Mattress at Los Angeles’ Ahmanson Theatre on Saturday, Jan. 4. He was joined in the audience by Carol Burnett — who played Foster’s role in the original 1959 production.
In photos published by DeuxMoi, a smiling Jackman is seen holding his phone up toward Burnett, 91, while sitting beside her in the theater and the rest of the audience is looking towards them. Burnett gave a kiss and a wave to the crowd.
Jackman and Burnett came to see Foster in the second-to-last show of Once Upon a Mattress, per the pop culture outlet. “The audience gave massive applause for Carol Burnett during the intermission,” one attendee shared.
Jackman and Foster previously starred alongside each other in the Broadway show The Music Man, which ran from December 2021 to January 2023.
In June 2024, Foster spoke to PEOPLE about her great experience working with Jackman in The Music Man.
“He’s one of the greatest guys ever, an incredible costar,” Foster said.
“And yeah, I think everyone already knows that, though.” She added that Jackman taught her “how to be an amazing leader.”
