The celebrated actor will make his Broadway debut in ‘Good Night, and Good Luck’ in less than a month
George Clooney is returning to his agrarian roots.
“Growing up in Kentucky, all I wanted to do was get away from a farm, get away from that life,” Clooney shared in a recent interview with The New York Times.
Decades later, the actor’s primary residence with his wife Amal and their children — twins Ella and Alexander, 7 — is a country house in France. Ironically, he reveals, “Now I find myself back in that life. I drive a tractor and all those things,” adding “It’s the best chance at a normal life.”
In addition to his family home in France, Clooney also has an estate in England, a villa on Lake Como in Italy, and another property close to his family in Kentucky.

Clooney, who will make his Broadway debut in “Good Night, and Good Luck” in March, is one of many actors who have opted for a rural day-to-day life.
