Drake has officially kicked off his Anita Max Win Tour in Australia, and ended night one with a heartfelt speech to the crowd.

Going down Tuesday (February 4) in Perth, Drizzy thanked the sold-out venue for keeping his career going for nearly 20 years and made sure to note that he is “very much alive.”

“My name is Drake. I started doing music in 2008,” he said. “I come all the way from Toronto, Canada. The year is now 2025, and no matter what, Drizzy Drake is very much alive and that’s all thanks to you. I love you.”

After plugging his forthcoming album with PARTYNEXTDOOR that will arrive on Valentine’s Day (February 14), Drake added: “It’s too many fucking weird things going on out here, so make sure you take of each other.”

The 6 God, who just recently watched his fierce rival Kendrick Lamar sweep the Grammys with his diss song “Not Like Us,” was clearly in a defiant mood during the show.

He walked out to the stage wearing a hoodie riddled with faux bullet holes and a trial of smoke behind him, while his 2011 song “Over My Dead Body” played through the speakers.

The Toronto native also wrote on Instagram alongside photos from the concert: “They thought einstein was lying & shakespeare was barely rhyming & edison wasn’t lit despite what he was designing. So how can I give af what they say about my stars aligning.”

Following the first stop in Perth, the 16-date trek will take Drake through Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane before wrapping in Auckland, New Zealand on March 16.

Last month, Drizzy got an iced-out mascot of Anita Max Win, crafted by celebrity jeweler Jason of Beverly Hills. The pendant contains 3 kilos of gold and over 250 carats of flawless diamonds for the facial features.

“Having done a number of Owl pieces for Drake, I was excited to work with him on a pendant of his alter ego. Just as the cartoon holds more meaning than meets the eye, so does the pendant,” Jason told TMZ.

There’s a hidden door that opens to reveal the skyline of Toronto, while the back features all the dates of his Australian tour – which is dubbed the Anita Max Wynn Tour. Gambling-loving Drake came up with the name as a play on “I need a max win.”

In other news, Kanye West feels confident that Drake can bounce back — despite suffering a bruising defeat to Kendrick Lamar in their rap battle.

In an interview with Justin LaBoy, which was premiered at a Grammys afterparty in Los Angeles on Sunday (February 2), Ye was quizzed about his thoughts on the high-profile feud that dominated 2024.

Revealing his reaction to Kendrick’s victory, he said with a laugh: “I was like, ‘Man, you killed my nemesis. Where’s the movies if it ain’t no Drake?’

“Or at least he took him down for a little bit. Maybe it’s like in superhero films where characters like Wolverine or something just goes away for a couple films.”

Asked if Kendrick “killed” Drake, the G.O.O.D. Music founder answered: “Yeah, for now. You can’t ever count out Steph Curry. That man might get 200 points in one song.”

He added: “Drake added something to the algorithm. He advanced it, Future advanced it and now Kendrick is advancing the frequency […] If you don’t really learn, as a professional rapper [in] a sport, what Kendrick is doing, you might be wiped out.”
