Common is over the moon as Janet Jackson has incorporated one of his hit songs into the set of her current tour.

With the assistance of DJ Aktive, Janet has been performing a number of her classic on tour and even blending some into a mix with other popular songs. After mashing her 1986 smash “Nasty” with Tinashe’s viral hit of the same name last week, she and her touring turntablist “Nasty” with Common’s 2005 single “Go!” for her stop in his hometown of Chicago this week.

“Shout to my brother @common. In chicago the other night had to flip “Go” into @janetjackson Nasty!! #TogetherAgaintour2024 #JanetJackson #Common,” Aktive wrote upon posting the clip to his Instagram page.

In a repost to his Instagram Story, Common added, “Wow! It’s a honor to have my song incorporated into the great @JanetJackson show! A special thanks to my brother @djaktive for making it happen!”

Jackson elaborated on the story on The Steve Harvey Morning Show back in 2022.

“I’ve always wanted to play a superhero in a film,” she said at the time while responding to a fan’s question. “I’ve wanted to do that since the ’90s.

“As a matter of fact, [X-Men director] Bryan Singer came to me to play Storm for X-Men before going to Halle Berry, and unfortunately, obviously, I didn’t do it. I couldn’t do it, because I was on the Janet Tour at the time. Storm was always one of my favorite Marvel
