Brad Pitt Calls for America to ‘Huddle Up’ in Patriotic Special Message Ahead of 2025 Super Bowl

“By lifting others, that’s how we rise up,” Pitt said

Brad Pitt shared a special message at the 2025 Super Bowl!
The actor, 61, called for America to “huddle up” in a prerecorded video that aired during the opening of the Big Game on Sunday, Feb. 9 before the match between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.
“By lifting others, that’s how we rise up,” Pitt said in the video. “We, the people. Today, we come together, not just these players and coaches or these teams and sides. We, all of us, the dreamers, the warriors, the builders and believers. Brought together to celebrate our greatest game.”
The actor continued to pay tribute to the symbolic “huddle” formation.
“Today, we celebrate the urgency of now, the thrill of what’s next, the glory of this game, and we do it as one” 🇺🇸

“When we are bound by a common goal, we’ve reached heights, authored achievements, pushed progress. Not alone, but together. In ways that have lifted the world and one another,” Pitt said, adding that “the huddle is a metaphor for our history, for the power found in our shared purpose.”
“It’s in our collective spirit, not just in the highest times, but in the hardest, in the darkness and the trouble and the struggle,” he added as voiceovers of newscasters discussing Hurricane Helene and the wildfires in Los Angeles were heard. “It’s there in our unity that we form hope and find strength.”

The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star concluded with a call-to-action: “Today, we celebrate the urgency of now, the thrill of what’s next, the glory of this game, and we do it as one. It’s time, America, to huddle up. It’s time for the Super Bowl.”
Pitt has been hard at work on his upcoming high-speed racing film F1. The movie, set to hit theaters June 27, debuted a new trailer at the Big Game that showcased new footage of the two-time Oscar winner behind the wheel.
Snowfall star Damson Idris, 33, plays race car driver Joshua Pearce of the fictional APXGP team, whom Pitt’s Sonny Hayes comes out of retirement to mentor. The pair eventually become teammates. The movie was filmed “during actual Grand Prix weekends as the team competes against the titans of the sport,” according to Warner Bros.
Speaking to Vanity Fair last summer, Idris had nothing but great things to say about his costar’s ability to accurately portray a Formula 1 driver.

“I don’t know if people know this, but he is really good behind that car. Really good. Too good almost. He makes me nervous how good he is,” the Children of Blood and Bone actor told the outlet in a July 2024 interview.
