Brad Pitt and Girlfriend Ines de Ramon Enjoyed a ‘Private’ Winter Holiday in Carmel, Calif., After He Wrapped F1 Movie (Exclusive)

Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon celebrated a low-key holiday season in Carmel, Calif., a source tells PEOPLE.

“Brad wrapped filming of F1 before the holidays,” says the insider of Pitt’s upcoming action movie about Formula 1 drivers. “He’s excited about the movie. He loved filming it.”

Following the movie’s completion and Pitt’s Dec. 18 birthday, the now-61-year-old “spent time in Carmel for the holidays” with de Ramon, who turned 32 on Dec. 19. “He loves it up there,” adds the source. “It’s very private for them.”

Pitt and the jewelry executive have been linked since late 2022. Last year, she joined Pitt’s 60th birthday celebration alongside close friends, and the two were last seen together at Leonardo DiCaprio’s 50th birthday bash on Nov. 9.

On Dec. 30, PEOPLE confirmed the Oscar winner reached a settlement in his divorce from ex Angelina Jolie, eight years after the Maria star filed to end their two-year marriage. Of the divorce, the source close to Pitt tells PEOPLE, “Brad has expressed for years that he just wants it over with.”

F1, from a team that includes director Joseph Kosinski and producers Jerry Bruckheimer and seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton, follows Pitt’s fictional driver Sonny Hayes, who comes out of retirement after a debilitating crash. The movie costars Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies and Javier Bardem.

In addition to his leading role, F1 is among Pitt’s many upcoming projects as a producer, which include Nia DaCosta’s Hedda and Bong Joon-ho’s Mickey 17 (in theaters March 7).

The Wolfs star and de Ramon “are serious about their relationship and making plans for the future,” a source told PEOPLE last September. “It started out as a fun and casual relationship, but after moving in together, they realized that they have something special,” the source said of the happy couple.
