Ariana Grande Shares Sweet Photo of Her and Ethan Slater to Celebrate a ‘Year Full of Art and Heart’

Ariana Grande ended 2024 with one last look at her and boyfriend Ethan Slater.

On Tuesday, Dec. 31, Grande, 31, shared 20 photos from throughout the last 12 months to Instagram as she recapped her year. The photo carousel showed her posing with Wicked crew members, performing and acting with costar Cynthia Erivo, taking photos with her brother Frankie Grande, his husband Hale Leon and their mother Joan. The 17th image in Ariana’s post shows a cute blurry photo of her and Slater, 32, smiling for the camera as an in-focus Jeff Goldblum takes a selfie in the foreground.

“a year full of art and heart 𖦹 ｡˚ฺ ｡˚·ꕤ.ﾟ!” Ariana wrote in a caption to her photos. “thank you eternally for your love and support, words truly don’t suffice. i love you always and am wishing you a all a very happy new year !”

The pop star and Slater first met when they started filming Wicked together in late 2022; Broadway veteran Slater portrays Shiz University student Boq in the movie, while Ariana stars in the movie musical as good witch Glinda.  PEOPLE first confirmed their relationship in July 2023 after Ariana and Slater separated from their then-partners Dalton Gomez and Lilly Jay, respectively.

While Ariana and Slater remained low-key when it came to public appearances together for much of 2024, they stepped out together throughout Wicked‘s press tour before the movie released in November and continually support each other on Instagram.

On Dec. 18, Ariana complimented Slater as “the Buster Keaton of today!” in a Dec. 18 comment on one of Slater’s Instagram posts, in reference to the legendary 1920s-era silent film comedian.

“He’s always adorable, and he’s so amazing in this film, he’s such an amazing person,” she said of Slater during a November interview with Entertainment Tonight. “I’m so happy people are getting to know him. My heart is very happy.”

Ariana’s wrap-up of 2024 on social media came days after the Manchester Foundation Trust Charity shared on Instagram Dec. 23 the “Side to Side” singer made a generous donation to children across the U.K. city’s hospital network. Manchester, England, is the site of the May 2017 suicide bombing that occurred after one of Ariana’s concerts; the tragedy killed 22 people and injured hundreds of others, per CNN, and Ariana has remained connected to the city in the years since.

“The gifts she has donated are being distributed to babies, children and teenagers across Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Trafford General Hospital, Wythenshawe Hospital and North Manchester General Hospital. @mftnhs,” the hospital system wrote on Instagram at the time.
