Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo Have Embodied Their Wicked Characters This Whole Press Tour — See Every Swankified Look
No, but really — they actually *are* Glinda and Elphaba
Though it feels like Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo have been on the promo trail for Wicked for what feels like ages (they have), the official press tour didn’t kick off until November — the same month of the movie’s release.
However, Grande and Erivo have embraced their roles of Glinda and Elphaba, respectively, so much, that they’ve truly been dressing in shades of pink (or white!) and green (or black!) for the last year. The duo has given new meaning to method-dressing.
Wicked fans have been living for every swankified ‘fit the stars have brought to the table for the past several months — us included. Here, we’ve collected the coordinating looks that Grande and Erivo have worn for the official film press tour, starting with the movie premiere in Australia. Keep checking back as they make their way around the world!

Australia Premiere
For the Australian premiere in Sydney, Grande wore Vivienne Westwood Couture. Her dress featured a corset with layers of tulle, peach crystals and starburst artwork that the house is known for. She paired it with more than 100 carats of custom Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Erivo contrasted in a custom black Louis Vuitton gown with a structured bodice and exaggerated skirt. To complete her look, she dazzled in Roberto Coin jewels worth over $370K, including an 18K white gold lion brooch with emeralds and diamonds worth $170K, which she wore as a choker.

Australia Photocall
For a photocall in Australia, Erivo wowed in head-to-toe Marc Jacobs. She wore an archival look from 2011 that included a black pencil skirt, a dark green top with white cuffs and a darling white hat. She also wore the house’s signature Kiki boots. Grande wore a darling custom Bode look, with a billowing peach-hued skirt and a cream and peach top with bows on it. She completed the look with Manolo Blahnik heels and Swarovski jewels.
Los Angeles Premiere
For the L.A. premiere on Nov. 9, Erivo arrived in a vibrant green Louis Vuitton look. Her patent green dress featured a front cutout, and she wore it with a massive fluffy coat in a matching hue for a monochromatic moment. She once again accessorized with Roberto Coin jewels, including an 18K white gold diamond and emerald collar worth $750K. Grande went with a demure custom Thom Browne look, wearing a strapless duchess satin dress in gingham crystal. She topped it with a capelet and wore a bow headband and gloves with Swarovski-covered heels.

Mexico Premiere
On Nov. 11, Grande arrived at the Mexico premiere wearing a custom Versace gown. Her iridescent dress had a deep V neckline and a structured bodice in a shimmery pale pink-white color. The voluminous skirt billowed out around her on the red carpet and concealed her platform sandals. Erivo contrasted her look in a black Thom Browne outfit. Her column dress hung to the floor and featured long sleeves and theatrical hands at the shoulders. The hooded top also buttoned down the front for even more drama.
