Kylie Jenner is opening up about what it’s like to be a young mom.
While speaking with Elle for their November cover story, the Kylie Cosmetics founder, 27, opened up about her first pregnancy with daughter Stormi, 6, whom she shares with ex Travis Scott. Jenner was 19 years old at the time, and she revealed to the outlet what the most shocking part of her pregnancy experience was.
“I got pregnant when I was 19. Having a baby really young was more shocking, maybe, because I saw these changes happening to my body — all these new stretch marks and things that I didn’t have before,” the reality star shared.

Jenner also spoke about her experience with postpartum depression, saying, “I felt like I was on autopilot.” Fortunately, her mom friends and sisters were there to help her through.
Jenner welcomed her and Scott’s son Aire, 2, a few years later, and a majority of her 20s was focused on being a mother.
“I haven’t had a baby in a few years,” she told the outlet. “The first part of my twenties was having children, learning what my personal style was and then losing it—not knowing how to dress, gaining 60 pounds for both pregnancies.”
“It took me a year to feel like myself again,” she admitted. “At 27, I feel more confident and more like myself than ever.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Jenner shared that while she grew up constantly in the spotlight, she’s trying to keep her kids protected from social media for “as long as possible.”
“When I do share my children, I want it to come from me or their father,” Jenner explained. “It’s no socials for as long as possible.”
Still, Stormi has already seemed to find ways to work around the rule. “Stormi will come home and she’ll know full TikTok dances. I’m like, ‘Where did you learn this?’ ” Jenner said.
She jokingly added that her kids can’t make their own accounts “until they move out of the house.”
