50 Cent has teased that he is working on a new TV show with Idris Elba that he promises will change the game.

The rap legend and media mogul posted a picture of himself with The Wire star on Instagram and added in the caption: “I’m working we got some heat coming your way [fire emoji] your [TV emoji] will never be the same.”

50 did not offer any more concrete details on the collaboration, which would mark the first between the two multi-hyphenates.

Fif has previously worked with some of Elba’s former co-stars, though, including fellow The Wire actors Wood Harris on BMF and Hassan Johnson on the 2010 movie Gun.

The tease comes as 50 Cent looks to ramp up his G-Unit Film and TV production company after moving into a large studio space in Shreveport, Louisiana.

After being given a tour of the complex by 50 himself, Perry was asked about his thoughts on the G-Unit boss in an interview with TMZ in July.

“I’m so proud of that man. He’s amazing and he’s blowing it up out of the water. I’m super, super proud of him,” he replied.

When asked asked if the future held any collaborations between the two of them, Perry replied: “If he wants to. I love that dude.”

50 responded to the comments on Instagram, writing: “BIG collaboration coming soon sprinkle a little Tyler, sprinkle a little 50 and [bomb emoji] BOOM [wind emoji] you can’t beat it! HISTORY IN THE MAKING.”

The “In Da Club” hitmaker has also partnered with Lionsgate to launch his own TV channel called 50 Cent Action.

The free-to-air channel will feature films and TV shows from Lionsgate’s vast library of projects, as well as 50’s own Power series.

Over a dozen movies starring the rapper and actor will also air on the channel, including all four The Expendables films.

50 said in a statement: “This channel will bring diverse, action-packed content to audiences everywhere, reflecting my passion for storytelling and providing a platform for fresh, dynamic voices. I look forward to working closely with all the FAST platforms to make this a successful channel.”

A launch date for the channel has not yet been announced.
