Beyoncé Celebrates 43rd Birthday in Colorful Retro Look amid Tropical Vacation with JAY-Z: ‘So Grateful’
The songstress shared photos of herself relaxing with a drink alongside her husband at a private cabana
Beyoncé is celebrating her birthday in style!
The “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer shared a glimpse into her 43rd birthday celebrations at a tropical resort with husband Jay-Z on Instagram on Friday, Sept. 6 — including the colorful, retro-inspired ensemble she wore for the occasion.
In the photos and videos that Beyoncé posted, she could be seen posing around the resort in a green, brown, black and white patterned minidress with sheer green gloves and matching green and black heels. She accessorized the look with brown sunglasses bedazzled with rhinestones and a matching patterned scarf over her hair.
Beyoncé could be seen in multiple photos carrying a large brown suitcase and posing with it in front of a cabana and on a boardwalk. In some photos, she held balloons and a drink.
Beyoncé intermixed the photos with more casual shots of her and her husband — who sported a white shirt, white bucket hat and brown patterned pants — relaxing on a sofa at the resort. The pair can be seen smiling together as they sipped from drinks and even shot a fierce pose at the camera in the last snap.
“I’m so grateful for another year,” Beyoncé captioned the photos. “Thank you for the loving birthday wishes. 🙏🏾🐝.”
Several celebrities took a moment to show some love to the Grammy winner in the comments of the post, including Octavia Spencer, who shared several bee emojis and some heart emojis. Rachel Zegler commented with a red heart emoji.
It appears that Beyoncé is capping a very busy year with a little rest and relaxation. The songstress released her latest album, Act II: Cowboy Carter, earlier this year after completing her Renaissance World Tour (based on her acclaimed 2022 album, Renaissance) in October 2023.
Beyoncé went on to garner the second-most nominations at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards, just behind Zach Bryan. Her song “Texas Hold ‘Em” off the album even garnered a spot on former president Barack Obama’s Summer 2024 playlist.
The song also hit No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart after its release, helping Beyoncé make history as the first Black female artist to ever reach the top spot on the chart.
She also recently celebrated the launch of her own whiskey brand, SirDavis Whisky, which pays homage to her home state of Texas and her family. The drink is named after her great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, who was a farmer and moonshiner in the South.
“When I discovered that my great-grandfather had been a moonshine man, it felt like my love for whisky was fated. SirDavis is a way for me to pay homage to him, uniting us through a new shared legacy,” Beyoncé said in a release.
