Janet Jackson loves being a mom!
In an interview with BBC published on Wednesday, July 24, the pop legend, 58, opened up about her experience being a mother of one.
“Being a mum is the most beautiful thing,” she told the outlet. “I love every minute of it.”
Jackson shares her son Eissa Al Mana, 7, with her ex-husband Wissam Al Mana. The “Nasty” artist was 50 when she welcomed her son in 2017.
The outlet also noted that Eissa was with Jackson during her recent tour stop in New York City, sharing that he was “standing proudly at the side of the stage wearing ear defenders.”
The “Unbreakable” singer is currently on her Together Again tour with Nelly, which concludes on July 30 in Phoenix. In September, she will embark on an international tour with Wyclef Jean that includes stops in Paris, London and Amsterdam.
While the singer tends to keep her son out of the public eye, she recently discussed the joys of being a mom during a 2023 appearance on Today with Sheinelle Jones.
Jackson, who has been labeled as a singer, Grammy-winner, actor, producer, fashion icon and philanthropist over the years, said that being a “mama” is the title that gives her “the greatest gratification.”
Asked about what she enjoys most about the experience, she said, “Everything. Every — when they’re tired. When you need a break. I just love it all. I love it all.”
