Kourtney Kardashian Barker and Travis Barker have different lifestyles, but they make their marriage work anyway.
On the March 13 episode of The Kardashians, Kourtney, who married the Blink-182 drummer in 2022, reflected on how she and Travis, 49, don’t necessarily have the same “pace of life,” but they adapt to each other’s.
“Travis’ pace of life is pretty fast. I would say he tries to squeeze in as much as he can into a day,” Kourtney, 45, said in a confessional of her husband. “So I am balancing me trying to slow all of my life down, mixed with doing all the things that he wants to do.”
She continued, “I think we both just wanna make each other happy, but right now, I think he’s a little bit more impulsive where I’m really happy and comfortable at home.”
Later in the episode, she was by her husband’s side as he kicked off the first-ever Run Travis Run 5K in Los Angeles ahead of a sold-out show at SoFi Stadium.
“It is really important to both of us that we show up for each other and that we can support each other,” she said of her attendance at the 5K. “I know it means a lot to him and I know it means a lot to me when he’s there for me. It’s everything to have that.”
Kourtney, who shares 16-month-old Rocky with Travis, was also by his side at the charity race in New Orleans ahead of the 2025 Super Bowl.
“I think it’s nice being with someone that also shares that same passion about working out, taking care of each other,” Travis told PEOPLE of how their mutual love for fitness helped them bond.
“We actually got closer by working out every day. We were just friends, so it’s never a matter of like, ‘Do you want to work out tomorrow?’ It’s always like, ‘Hey, what time are we working out? What are we doing?’”
They ran the New Orleans race hand-in-hand and he admitted that their “hands were really sweaty” but “it was great.”
Though Kourtney was hesitant to run the first race in L.A. — she said in the episode her “large, breastfeeding boobs” made running pretty “uncomfortable” — she ran the whole race in New Orleans with Travis.
“[She] had kind of hinted to me she wanted to run it, so I stayed at her pace,” he told PEOPLE afterwards. “She finished really, really good.”
