“I told him to turn away! Don’t look!” Jessica Williams jokingly shouted at Harrison Ford during the 2025 SAG Awards’ “I Am an Actor” opener
Jessica Williams humorously scolded Harrison Ford during the 2025 SAG Awards!
When Williams, 35, took part in the SAG Awards’ famous “I Am an Actor” opening segment, the actress had to pause her bit to note that her Shrinking costar Ford, 82, accidentally made people laugh as he was seen eating crackers provided at the cast’s table directly behind his costar.
“Los Angeles is known as the city of dreams and sure enough, all of my dreams have come true here, from my dream of preparing,” Williams said, before the ceremony’s audience began laughing very hard at Ford’s snack — and the look on his face.
Williams additionally held the room in stitches as she yelled, “I told him to turn away! Don’t look!” in response to the laughter in the room. She did manage to get through the rest of her speech, in which she joked that her dreams of living life as an actor included “preparing at a Starbucks bathroom before an audition to my dream of crying in a Del Taco bathroom afterwards.”
“I’ve lived my dream of changing clothes while parked on a street nice enough to have shady trees, but not so nice that some white lady called the police on me,” she said. “I’ve also fulfilled my ultimate dream of enthusiastically performing a monologue for a casting director while they enthusiastically ate a salad. But more than just a dream factory, this city has always been my home. I am Jessica Williams, I am LA born and bread, and I am an actor.”

Williams and Ford both portray therapists in Apple TV+’s Shrinking, which also stars Jason Segel, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell, Christa Miller, Wendie Malick and Brett Goldstein.
The series is nominated for two awards at the SAG Awards on Feb. 23. Ford himself is nominated for outstanding performance by a male actor in a comedy series, while the show’s entire cast is nominated for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series.
