50 Cent has responded to the backlash he received after uploading a photo of him with Donald Trump supporter Lauren Boebert.

The rapper—born Curtis Jackson III—visited Capitol Hill Wednesday to advocate for Black entrepreneurs and push for more representation in the alcohol industry. 50 Cent, who owns the liquor company Sire Spirits, was joined by civil rights attorney Ben Crump.

During his visit, 50 Cent took a photo of himself posing with the outspoken GOP representative, who is a prominent ally of former president Trump. The musician then uploaded the photo to X, formerly Twitter, where it quickly went viral.

People slammed 50 Cent, calling him a “disappointment” and Boebert an “embarrassment.” Following the backlash, 50 Cent took to X to try to clear the air.

“Wait, wait, guys i took pictures with everyone and all you seem to care about is Lauren [shrug emoji] what did she do in a dark theater that hasn’t been done, my God ! Hey I don’t have chlamydia by the way. LOL,” he said, uploading a photo of himself outside the Capitol Building.
